Rev up for fun at Touch-A-Truck event, Sept. 10.

Pierce County Parks and Recreation will host its seventh annual Touch-A-Truck event Saturday, Sept. 10, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sprinker Recreation Center, 14824 C St. S. in Tacoma.

This free community event allows the public to explore a variety of trucks, including dump trucks, a fire engine, command center, bucket truck, tractor, military vehicles, school buses and more. A quiet hour will be observed from noon to 1 p.m. to accommodate sensory sensitive participants. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Although there is no charge to attend, food donation bins will be set up to accept canned food items for the food bank.

Touch-A-Truck attracted nearly 2,000 people last year, so organizers are planning for an even more exciting day this year.
