[ARCHIVED] Judge Chushcoff is presented the William O. Douglas Award

At the law day luncheon on May 5, 2017, Judge Bryan Chushcoff was recognized for over 20 years of service as a Superior Court Judge. Judge Chushcoff was presented the William O. Douglas Award from the Washington State Association for Justice.

US Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas was the longest serving justice in the history of the US Supreme Court.  He spent almost 40 years on the Supreme Court Bench.  Justice Douglas is the only Supreme Court Justice from Washington State.

Judge Chushcoff was elected to the Pierce County Superior Court Bench in 1996 and began on January 13, 1997.  He is a graduate of the University of Washington with a BA in Business Administration and from the Seattle University School of Law with a Juris Doctor.  Judge Chushcoff was the court’s Presiding Judge from 2009-2012, and he is the current treasurer for the Superior Court Judge’s Association of Washington State.
