[ARCHIVED] Superior Court announces Terri Farmer as new Commissioner

Pierce County Superior Court is pleased to announce that Terri Farmer has accepted an offer for our newly created Commissioner position.  She has indicated a tentative start date of November 6, 2017.  Ms. Farmer is currently an attorney with the Law Office of Stephen Fisher, PLLP, with an emphasis in Family Law.  She is a graduate of the University of Puget Sound and holds a Juris Doctor from the Seattle University School of Law.  Ms. Farmer has served as a Pro Tem Commissioner and Pro Tem Settlement Judge in Pierce County since 2009.  A formal swearing in date will be set after she joins the court in November.

Ms. Farmer is the past President of the Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association Family Law Section.  She spent four years as an in-house attorney for the YWCA.  Prior to her service with the YWCA, she served as a Guardian ad Litem for 10 years.  She was also a volunteer attorney representing youth at Remann Hall.  Ms. Farmer has been an active volunteer attorney with Volunteer Legal Services since 1995.

The Court would like to thank the Pierce County Council and the Pierce County Clerk, Kevin Stock for their assistance in creating this new position, which will seek to address the increased Commissioner workload.

Please join us in welcoming Commissioner Farmer to the Pierce County Superior Court family.
