TACOMA, WA - Lily Christopherson, 15, who went missing last month, was found alive and well yesterday in Puyallup. Bonney Lake Police Department says on June 3, 2018, they received a tip that the girl had been spotted at a bus stop. When officers arrived, they found her. She was taken to the hospital and is reuniting with her family.
Meanwhile, the Pierce County Prosecutor’s Office charged William Kent Pittman, 34, with rape of a child in the third degree, today, for allegedly having sex with Lily.
“We promised to hold accountable everyone involved in the exploitation of Lily,” said Prosecutor Mark Lindquist. “There’s nothing more important than protecting our children from this seedy and dangerous world of sex trafficking.”
Investigators first heard Pittman’s name May 26, while searching for Christopher Fitzpatrick, 39, and Maria Counts, 29. They were arrested and charged last Tuesday with rape, kidnapping, and possession of depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct for their alleged involvement in Lily’s disappearance.
On May 9, Fitzpatrick and Counts met Lily at the Federal Way Transit Center. The evidence indicates she was drugged, raped, photographed nude, and pimped out to at least two men.
Investigators say they got a tip that Pittman was living in a home on E. 45th St. and witnesses at that address reported seeing Pittman, Fitzpatrick and Lily at the home. Police say Pittman initially denied having any sexual activity with Lily, but finally admitted he and another man did have oral sex with her.
Bail is set at $500,000.00.
Charges are only allegations and a person is presumed innocent unless he or she is proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
