All customers of the Pierce County Sewer Utility are invited to provide feedback on proposed updates to county regulations that deal with Sewer Utility operations. Suggested changes include bill payment clarifications and a simplified permit fee and connection charge structure for new developments.

"This represents the most comprehensive update to the sewer code that we have completed in nearly 20 years. We look forward to hearing feedback on the anticipated changes from our customers and the development community," said Tim Ramsaur, Pierce County's wastewater utility manager.
"These changes would simplify permit processes and fee schedules so they are more predictable and easier to understand," added Mike Galizio, senior planner with the county's Sewer Utility.
Title 13 of the Pierce County Code regulates Sewer Utility operations including connection and service charges and pretreatment regulations.
Written comments welcomePierce County will accept written comments on the proposed revisions until they are approved by the Pierce County Council.
The updates will be presented to the Pierce County Planning Commission on September 25. The commission will then forward its recommendations to the Pierce County Council for consideration and adoption.
