PIERCE COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT - INCLEMENT WEATHER INFORMATION
The following is the status of offices for Pierce County Superior Court after 2:30 PM on February 8, 2019.
County City Building
- Commissioner Services Administration (Room 140) - Open
- Criminal Administration Office (Room 247) - Open
- Superior Court Administration (Room 334) - Open
- Jury Administration (Room 123) - Closed
There may still be judicial departments and commissioner courtrooms still running depending on their dockets. Administration offices are running with limited staff due to the Executive allowing employees to leave at 2:30.
Remann Hall (Juvenile Court)
- Main Lobby - Closed
- Court Lobby and Clerk’s Office - Open
Western State Hospital
- Western State Hospital will be closing around 3 PM today.
The Presiding Judge and Court Administrator will continue to monitor the weather and may decide to close the courts prior to 4:30 today. Any update will be sent out in a press release.
Pierce County Superior Court is the second largest Superior Court in the State of Washington and is proud to serve the citizens and visitors of Pierce County. The Court is staffed with 22 Judges and 9 Commissioners. There are three sites where court is held; the County-City Building at 930 Tacoma Ave S., Tacoma, Remann Hall Juvenile Court at 5501 6th Ave., Tacoma, and Western State Hospital at 9601 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Lakewood.
