The smiles and energy indicate this photo is at the finishing line and everyone survived.
Our office’s masked and caped crusaders, the Justice League, are lacing up their running shoes again to raise funds for free legal aid. The team is running the Tacoma City Marathon Relay on May 5 as part of the Run for Equal Justice fundraising campaign.
The Justice League’s efforts support TacomaProBono and its mission to provide civil legal help to those who may not otherwise have access to the justice system. “The work TacomaProBono does is something we can all get behind,” said team leader Sarah Richardson. “Everyone deserves quality legal help, regardless of their income. We want to show that people in the PAO support Pierce County residents in many ways, while also having some fun with it.”
The Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association is encouraging all members to “Give 2 in 2019,” and backing the Justice League is one way to contribute.
How you can help
1. Form a Justice League II team, run a long way really early on a Sunday morning, and help raise awareness and funds for TacomaProBono
or…
2. Relax in your jammies with brunch and coffee instead, because you made a donation earlier to TacomaProBono on the Justice League’s team page. We’re in competition with other government and private law firms to see who can raise the most money, and the earlier, the better. Go PAO!
