Safety improvements to temporarily close Foothills Trail between McMillan and Orting

A realignment of the Foothills Trail will be underway from July 8-26 to improve safety for both vehicle traffic and multi-use trail users.  

The project will increase line-of-site visibility for all users and reduce trail user speeds as they enter the intersection at 149th Street Court East (at the entrance to the High Cedars residential community and golf club). The trail will be completely closed at the construction site at 149th Street Court East and no alternative path will be provided.  

Closure notices will be posted at area trailheads. More information on the project can be found at
