[ARCHIVED] Help improve the Pierce County Stormwater Manual

Help us improve the Pierce County Stormwater Management and Site Development Manual

Pierce County received a new National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit on July 1, 2019. The Phase I Municipal Stormwater Permit, issued by the Department of Ecology, requires local governments to manage and control stormwater runoff to protect water quality.

This new permit requires us to make some limited changes to our Stormwater Manual, which establishes requirements for residential, commercial, industrial and subdivision projects to prevent and minimize impacts from stormwater runoff.

Changes require an amendment to the County Code—so we want to use the opportunity to make minor technical changes to improve clarity, resolve conflicts or correct errors.

Now is your chance to provide input. Please submit your suggestions and comments by September 30.

Thank you for your feedback.
