We understand the recent news about COVID-19 has raised questions and concerns. Out of an abundance of caution, the Pierce County Development Center is temporarily reducing lobby services in response to these growing community concerns. The Development Center has consulted with Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department (TPCHD) during this public health emergency. We are working closely with our public health partners to ensure we take the appropriate steps at the right time to protect our staff and those we serve.

Online services

All of the services provided in our Development Center can also be found through our online services at piercecountywa.gov/ppw to include:

• Make an application
• Check the status of your application
• Request Electronic Submittal Standards
• Research your parcel
• Gather forms and submittal items
• Ask questions to our Permit Technicians “Ask the Development Center”

Additionally, we are available by phone at 253-798-3739. 

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our customers. Pierce County is committed to the timely review of applications. There may be fewer services available at the Development Center, but our staff are continuing to review applications and respond to your questions.
