[ARCHIVED] Scheduling Cut-off Time Extended for Building Inspections

Inspection scheduling cut-off time extended to midnight

Effective immediately, we have lifted the standard 11:00 a.m. scheduling cut-off for building inspections. You will now be able to schedule inspections until midnight and potentially get a next-day inspection.

This will be dependent on the total volume of inspections requested. To meet increased demand, we have increased the number of inspections we can schedule each day.

Help us help you
To ensure we can complete your inspection requests please make sure you have implemented the Phase 1 Construction Restart COVID-19 Job Site Requirements, including social distancing, masks, gloves and eye protection.

If our inspectors don’t feel they can safely perform requested inspections, they have been instructed to leave the site. It is unfortunate, but we have already had to leave some sites without completing inspections. This is a waste of time and money for both the builder and the County. Please help us respond promptly to inspection requests by complying with the required safety plans.

General questions about how to comply with construction safety practices should be directed to the state’s Business Response Center.

Please contact Nick Waggood, Assistant Building Official, by email if you have questions about inspections.

Thank you to construction site operators for keeping us safe and healthy throughout this ever-changing event.
