A total of $556,450 of Federal CARES Act funding has been awarded to senior centers in Pierce County to assist with covering basic expenses required to sustain during COVID-related closures. Senior Centers are a vital resource for older adults to access activities and services to improve their health, well-being and independence. The following senior centers were awarded funds to serve older adults in response to the COVID-19 crisis and recovery:

- Beacon Senior Center - $20,000
- Lighthouse Senior Center - $20,000
