1. The Local Initiative Support Corporation (LISC) is opening another round of Covid-19 grant funding. The Rural Relief Small Business Grant program will begin accepting applications on January 26. The deadline for submission is February 2.
2. The Southwest Washington Food Hub is looking to expand its reach into Pierce County this year. They are hosting an informational call on January 26 from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. More information can be found on their Facebook event page, and you can register or request more information by emailing [email protected].
3. One of our local farms, Bright Ide Acres, is a WSDA-certified poultry processor of retail and wholesale birds. They are considering offering co-packing services to other local producers and are conducting a survey to gauge interest for their services.
