[ARCHIVED] We Are Busy!

We Are Busy!

Given the perfect storm of fee changes and code changes that became effective on Feb. 1, we have had a record number of applications submitted to process. County staff worked significant hours of overtime to ensure as many applications were processed as possible up to 10 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 31.

We are going to continue our efforts, and the use of overtime, to process the remaining applications and new applications that continue to come in daily. At this time, we are prioritizing getting the applications processed which may cause a delay in the distribution of “resubmittals.” If you have a time sensitive resubmittal that requires special attention or have any questions, please contact Kevin Stender at [email protected], Development Center manager or Amy Wakefield at [email protected], Permit Technician supervisor.

Application Review

Our reviewer divisions will be addressing this surge in workload by:

  • Overtime
  • Third Party Review
  • Adjusting work priorities/assignments
  • And more

We know how important the timely acceptance and review of applications is, and we will do our best to minimize delays wherever possible.
