Pierce County IT Wins Two NACo Awards

Pierce County IT Wins 2 NACo Awards

The Pierce County Finance Department and IT Division lead the way when it comes to innovation and delivering crucial public services. We received two national awards from the National Association of Counties (NACo) for the following programs:

  • The interactive COVID Cares Act Report allowed Pierce County to track and allocate $158 million in federal relief funds. County leadership relied on weekly updates to gauge demand for programs and ensure funding reached residents.
  • The Remote Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) Program streamlined policies and procedures for drone operations. The program allowed Pierce County to share critical drone data analysis with local and state agencies during the 2020 wildfires.

Congratulations to the project team members for their hard work and dedication!
