Plan Ahead: Current application review procedure and supply chain issues

We want our customers to be aware of current application review procedures and supply chain issues so that they can plan ahead.

We have received a record number of permit applications in 2021. To be as equitable as possible, we process applications in the order they are received. Exceptions to this include applications related to natural disasters like flood, fire or storm damage. Application review time is determined by the number of applications under review and the complexity or scope of your project.

We have implemented several measures to address the application surge including:

  • Overtime
  • Third-party review
  • Adjusting work priorities and assignments

We know that timely review is important to our customers and we are doing our best to minimize delays whenever possible.

Prior to submitting for an application please verify the needed construction materials are available for your project. There is considerable demand right now and some materials are hard to come by and/or may be more expensive than anticipated.

We look forward to working with you on your next project and hope you factor these considerations into your project budget and timeline.
