Emergency Permit Extension Ordinance Expires on December 31, 2021

Emergency Permit Extension Ordinance Expires on
December 31, 2021

Six-month permit extensions are available until Dec. 31 under an emergency ordinance passed by the County Council in August (Ord. 2021-78). The ordinance responds to supply-chain issues and labor shortages by allowing flexibility in the expiration of permit applications and approvals.

You can request an extension by sending an email before your application or permit expiration date to the primary staff member reviewing your application. This applies to permits that expire before December 31, 2021.

If you are not sure who to contact, please send your request to Rob Jenkins, Current Planning supervisor, at [email protected].

Written requests received before Dec. 31 will be evaluated for an extension under the emergency ordinance. After Dec. 31, extension requests will be reviewed under the regular procedure in PCC 18.40.050 and 18.150.060
