[ARCHIVED] Kari Rinn Joins Economic Development Team to Grow and Support Creative Businesses

We're excited to welcome Kari Rinn to our team! Kari will focus on connecting with creative businesses to help them grow and on building awareness regarding art-related programs and opportunities for Pierce County. “I believe in the power of creativity, to heal, create a sense of community, provide identity, improve economies, build equity, impact quality of life and spur innovation. I am incredibly excited for the opportunity to serve as a connector, advocate and innovator for the creative sector of Pierce County,” she said.

Kari has focused her career on serving the creative sector, from nonprofits to education, as an artist, for artists and as a gallery director.  =She graduated magna cum laude from Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in craft and materials studies focusing on glass and metal. She has served as the Executive Director of the North Carolina Glass Center, Director of Creative Arts at Haywood Community College, Director of Craft Entrepreneurship at Handmade in America, and as a Professional Sales and Development Consultant to several independent artists and galleries.
