Pierce County voters will receive new voter registration cards

New voter registration cards are being mailed to voters. The cards list new district and precinct assignments and are a result of Decennial Redistricting based on the 2020 census.

Voter registration cards are not needed to vote and are for informational purposes only. The cards show the current congressional, legislative, and county council district assignments for each voter. Pierce County also reviewed and adjusted voting precincts to align with the new districts. State law does not allow a precinct to cross a congressional, legislative, county council or city boundary.

Voters are asked to review their name and address for accuracy. If changes are needed, contact Elections at 253-798-VOTE (8683) or [email protected].

Congressional and Legislative lines were approved by the Washington State Redistricting Commission in November of 2021 and amended by the legislature on Feb. 8, 2022. Pierce County Council Districts were approved by the Pierce County Districting Committee on Dec. 16, 2021. The Pierce County Council approved the new precinct lines on March 15, 2022.
