Starting April 6, Pierce County Parks will be accepting online reservations for the North Lake Tapps Park boat launch ramp. Reservations can be made up to 30 days in advance and include one parking spot per person per day for boat launch use.
The online day-use reservation process replaces the annual boat launch pass system. Boat launch parking is prioritized for online reservations made in advance. Walk-up reservations are not guaranteed and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. From May through September, the North Lake Tapps Park website will be updated regularly to indicate boat launch availability.
North Lake Tapps Park charges seasonal boat launch fees every year from May through September. The cost for boat launch use is $15 with a trailer per launch (includes parking) or $5 per day for seniors (62 and older) or persons with disabilities with or without a trailer, per launch. Payment is accepted only via credit/debit card.
For more details about the boat launch reservation system or to make a reservation, visit the North Lake Tapps Park website.
Parking updates at North Lake Tapps Park
North Lake Tapps Park is a very popular site during the warmer weather season. To help reduce traffic in the area, starting May 6, parking, queuing, or staying idle along 198th Avenue East in Bonney Lake will no longer be allowed.
Vehicles must stop at the gatekeeper booth at the park entrance on 198th Avenue East prior to parking. Access to the park is first come, first served. Once all general (non-boat) parking is full, cars will be required to turn around at the roundabout and exit the park via 198th Avenue East towards 12th Street East.
To help park visitors plan their trip during the summer season (May – September), please check the North Lake Tapps Park website for details about parking fees and updates on general parking availability.
