Pierce County Aging and Disability Resources accepting Letters of Intent for Senior Foot Care Services
Pierce County Human Services Aging and Disability Resources (ADR) is accepting Letters of Intent (LOI) from prospective applicants to determine whether organizations are interested in, and qualified to submit a proposal in a competitive bid process to provide Foot Care Services for Seniors. Caring for one’s feet is an important part of a person’s overall health, particularly as one ages. Other physical issues associated with aging, including vision impairment and limited flexibility and dexterity, can make it difficult for an older adult to safely care for their feet. Lack of regular preventative foot care can impact mobility which is vital for maintaining the independence of the older population and their participation in regular activities of daily living.
Up to $60,000 in funding is available from the Washington State Senior Citizens Services Act (SCSA). These services must be provided on a sliding scale based upon the client's household size and income. Seniors living in residential care facilities or in supervised housing are not eligible for this service.
Letters of Intent are due no later than noon April 17, 2023. Submit letters via email or mail to:
