Pierce County Human Services recently received additional funding from the state to increase the Homeless Housing Program funding awards to supplement revenue shortfalls. The Homeless Housing Program (HHP) funding is the largest Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) that Pierce County solicits annually for homeless housing services. Funding sources are combined from the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), Consolidated Homeless Grant (CHG), Document Recording Fees (DRF), and the Tacoma Housing Authority (THA) to support varying interventions.

Pierce County Human Services is awarding several organizations to support housing and homeless services across Pierce County. Over $12M will be awarded to the following projects for outreach, emergency shelter, rapid re-housing, transitional housing, and permanent supportive housing services:

Projects that have not been awarded funding are ranked for future funding opportunities. Click here for a full list of the 2023-2024 HHP awards and projects.
