$1M available for Homeless Shelter Access Hub

PCHS news - homeless

Pierce County Homeless Programs is requesting proposals from organizations to provide navigation services that result in homeless households being placed into local overnight shelters. $1M is available from American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and Homeless Document Recording Fee (DRF) funding. This is a one-time opportunity to make the biggest impact for people experiencing homelessness in Pierce County.

In March 2022, Pierce County officially adopted the Comprehensive Plan to End Homelessness, which outlines many goals, one of which is to meet the immediate needs of people experiencing homelessness. This funding opportunity is in direct support of that goal and focuses on recommended shelter system services, including shelters acting as Shelter Access Hubs.

Interested parties must apply online  before 2 p.m. on Friday August 18, 2023. Funding for this request for proposal (RFP) will be allocated for a 15-month period.
