Pierce County Elections will perform the mandatory and routine post-election audit of batches at 10 a.m. on Aug. 3 at the Pierce County Elections Center, 2501 S 35th St, Suite C, in Tacoma. The test is open to the media and the public.
The purpose of the audit is to compare a hand count of ballots to the machine count for randomly selected batches.
Pierce County Elections asked for representatives from the Pierce County Democratic and Republican parties to select a race to be audited. The race selected was Pierce County Council District No. 2.
Results of the audit will be posted at PierceCountyElections.org.
