Pierce County Human Services is announcing a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) to support public services. We are soliciting applications for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) – Public Services Projects to provide funding for eligible public services projects that benefit low-income people, such as services for seniors and homeless persons, food banks, health services, employment, and childcare.
Approximately $740,000 is available for a two-year period, and priority will be given to agencies requesting $20K or more. If awarded funds, the initial contract period is July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025, which may be extended through June 2026 based on funding and performance.
Eligible projects must address one of five funding priorities established by the Citizens’ Advisory Board, including basic needs, family services, transportation, seniors/disabilities, and mental health. Applications are due no later than 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2023.
Applicants must register with OpenGov, Pierce County’s new e-Procurement Portal, using this link. After signing up, an email will be sent to activate the account. There is no cost to register with OpenGov.
