Camp Pierce volunteers and staff named Volunteer Group of the Month for August by the Emergency Food Network
Pierce County Parks and Recreation's Camp Pierce came to the Emergency Food Network's
Repack Project and
Mother Earth Farm ready to work and have fun doing it!
At the farm, they freed up weedy rhubarb for our food banks and lavender for our pollinators, shelled hundreds of dry beans and composted old seedlings.
At the Repack Project, they repackaged 2,400 pounds of oats. The hard work and support by Camp Pierce volunteers and staff were truly an inspiring example that we will carry with us the rest of summer!
