New year, new opportunities

Let me start by saying it is an honor to serve the constituents of the Mighty 6th District- Lakewood, Steilacoom, DuPont, Parkland, JBLM, Ketron and Anderson Islands. Please know that everyday I work to ensure our county is a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family.
It’s been a strong start to the new year for the Pierce County Council. I was selected by my fellow Councilmembers, for the fifth year, to serve as the Council Chair. I am also on the following Council standing committees; Rules and Operations Committee, Economic Development & Infrastructure Committee, Community Development Committee, and the Human Services Committee. Learn more about the County Council's top priorities here

We also adopted our first biennial budget for 2020-2021, where we made significant investments in public safety, human services and parks.
I serve as a member on many external boards and commissions within the county and the greater Puget Sound region; Economic Development Board, Law Enforcement Officers and Fire Fighters Disability Board (LEOFF), Lodging Tax Advisory Board, Flood Control Zone District Board of Supervisors, Pierce County Regional Council (Executive Board, Operations Committee and Transportation Policy Board),  South Sound Military and Communities Partnership, Tacoma-Pierce County Health Board, South Sound 911 Governing Board, Pierce County Law and Justice Council, and more!

Please, always feel free to reach out with any comments or questions. My Councilmember Assistant, LJ Rohrer and I are are here to help!
