Pierce County Restaurant Rally
Pierce County Restaurant Rally: Apply by October 23 to Participate

Pierce County is rallying to help dine-in restaurants stay open and retain jobs! Full-service restaurants should apply by October 23, 2020 at www.piercecountywa.gov/restaurantrally to participate in the Pierce County Restaurant Rally program.

The Restaurant Rally promotion will run from November 8-19, excluding Friday and Saturday, and will enable participating restaurants to:
  • Offer a 30% discount for dine in patrons, excluding alcohol
  • Receive a reimbursement at 50% of gross sales, excluding alcohol
To participate, Pierce County restaurants will need to qualify under criteria such as being a full-service restaurant primarily engaging in food service and operating within Washington’s Safe Start guidelines.

Pierce County Federal CARES Act funding has been allocated through this program with funds set aside to help businesses recover from the economic impacts of the pandemic. Subject to available funds, a business approved to participate will be eligible to receive up to $90,000 and no less than $5,000.

Partnering organizations include the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce, Travel Tacoma- Mt. Rainier, and the Washington Hospitality Association.

COVID-19 Rent and Mortgage Assistance

Rent and Mortgage Assistance Program Expanded: Now Available to Any Business Significantly Impacted by COVID-19

  • Get three months of your commercial rent or mortgage paid

  • Receive up to $8,000 a month with a total grant maximum of $24,000

COVID-19 Adaptation Grant

COVID-19 Expenses Program Expanded: Maximum Reimbursement Grant Amounts Now Up to $50,000 for Larger Employers

Get reimbursed for up to 50% of expenses related to implementing COVID-19 safe start practices under the Adaptation Grant Program.

Forgivable Loans

Forgivable Loan Amount Increased to $5,000 for Micro Businesses

  • Loan amounts start at $5,000 (for micro-businesses) up to $20,000 based on number of FTE employees.

  • Apply for loan forgiveness based on your workplace safety practices
