Join the discussion with the Pierce County Conservation District
The Pierce County Conservation District is looking for residents of Pierce County’s rural areas to participate in its upcoming virtual Rural Climate Dialogues, June 9-13.
The dialogues will be held Wednesday to Sunday from 1 to 5:30 p.m. After hearing from local experts and each other, the group will create a shared, community-based response to climate change and extreme weather events. This includes crafting future responses to public health, quality of life and disaster preparedness.
The panels are 100% citizen-driven – no one will tell panelists what to do or think. Panelists have the liberty, information, and resources to produce their own recommendations that respond to community needs, priorities, concerns and values.

Participants will be randomly selected with an eye toward matching the demographics of rural Pierce County. This map on the Pierce Conservation District website will help people verify if they live in a qualifying zip code area.
