I hope you will join me for my first in-district Pierce County Council meeting, which will be held Thursday, June 10 at 7 p.m.
Agenda items for the night include taking public testimony on the proposal to form a Spanaway Lake Lake Management District No. 1. Each member of the public who wishes to testify on this proposal will be afforded time to speak.
Under the Pierce County Charter, the County Council holds at least one meeting per year in each of its seven council districts. This is done to make us more accessible to the residents we represent, and to identify topics of interest for our respective districts.
In pre-COVID times, this meeting would have been held in person in District 3. However, due to current circumstances, this in-district meeting will be virtual.
This means you don’t have to leave the comfort of your home to join me!
You can participate by watching the meeting live online at piercecountytv.org or via cable on Comcast channel 22, Click! channels 22/522 HD, or Rainier Connect channels 22/513 HD. You can also join via Zoom: https://piercecountywa.zoom.us/j/97661787423.
Don’t have access to a computer? Join the meeting by calling 253-215-8782 and use Web ID 976-6178-7423.
I look forward to “seeing” you June 10, 2021 at 7 p.m.
I also hope to be able to host a second in-district meeting later this year, if time allows, where we can gather in person and talk face-to-face. I appreciate your patience as we look at how to make that possible.

Grateful for you!
