Provide Feedback by October 23rd on the Draft Tacoma-Pierce County Solid and Hazardous Waste Management Plan (SHWMP)Pierce County Planning and Public Works (PPW) and the Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC) worked with partners and neighboring jurisdictions to create a draft plan that establishes how Pierce County will manage solid and hazardous waste for the next 20 years. The goal is to create an equitable and resilient plan that keeps our environment clean. This draft replaces the 2000 plan, as well as the 2008 and 2016 supplements.
The draft plan is currently under review by the Washington State Department of Ecology and open for public comment until October 23, 2021.
The draft plan is also scheduled for the September 28th Pierce County Planning Commission meeting. |
