Economic Development Program Updates
Do you know of a small business in need that may need financial assistance? What about a business who can assist with professional services such as bookkeeping, design, marketing, etc.? Pierce County Economic Development is helping connect businesses with all of that and more.
Small businesses and nonprofits can apply for a low-interest loan of up to $150,000 to finance expansion and growth as well as recover from the pandemic and subsequent economic slowdown through the Washington State Department of Commerce Small Business Flex Fund. Interested applicants can pre-apply on the Flex Fund’s online portal and, if they qualify, will be matched with a lender.
Through American Rescue Plan funding, Pierce County is putting together a list of qualified professional service providers to be matched with businesses in need of assistance. Any interested professional service providers can register and submit bids by visiting Pierce County Procurement and Contract Services.
