Committee of the Whole meetings start this week

Last week we concluded our preliminary review of the proposed 2022-2023 Biennial Budget. That process included an overview of requested expenditures from each county department.

This week we dive into a more in-depth review of the proposed funding laid out in the budget presented to Council by the Executive for consideration.

We will hold a series of Committee of the Whole meetings starting Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. These meetings will be televised live on Pierce County TV. You can watch them online at piercecountytv.org, or broadcast channels 22/522HD (Comcast, Click!) and 20/513HD (Rainier Connect).

If you would like to attend the meetings you can either come in person, or join the meetings via Zoom.

Here is what we have planned for this week: 

• Wednesday, 1:30 p.m.: Budget overview
• Thursday, 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.: Planning and Public Works 
• Friday, 9:30 a.m.: Human Resources and Assessor-Treasurer’s Office
