Dear Friends,
As temperatures continue to hold at freezing levels, below is information that should be helpful for those who seek shelter.
An active list of available overnight shelters in Pierce County can be seen on the Tacoma-Pierce County Coalition to End Homelessness website at pchomeless.org/Facilities/Shelters. Listed are overnight shelters, including those that require a referral through another agency. It is recommended to contact the shelter before arriving to assure space is available.
Additional shelter capacity will remain available through at least Dec. 31 while the temperatures remain below freezing. That includes Pierce County’s Sprinker Recreation Center, 14824 C St. S., in Spanaway, and the Fife Community Center, 2111 54th Ave. E. in Fife.
For information about distribution of blankets and water, please visit the coalition's Distributions Sites page.
Sincerely,
