Our state agencies are busy getting input for writing policy recommendations. Below is a notice I just received from the Department of Ecology regarding the state’s Climate Commitment Act.
Because this legislation will result in a rather massive transfer of wealth, I felt it was important to inform you of the opportunity to learn about it and make comments to the agency.
Here is the information from the agency:
- What: The state Department of Ecology is holding a stakeholder meeting for the development of Washington's cap and investment program under Chapter 173-446 WAC.
- When: Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022 from 1 to 5:30 p.m.
More from Ecology:
Thank you for your interest in the Department of Ecology’s Climate Commitment Act rulemaking
. Ecology is hosting a stakeholder meeting on January 11, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., for the development of Washington’s cap and invest program under Chapter 173-446 WAC. This is the third stakeholder meeting as part of the development process of rulemaking; we hope to propose a rule in Spring 2022.
We value your time and understand that a meeting of this length can provide scheduling difficulties. Ecology will record the presentation portion of the meeting for those unable to attend.
