Dear Friends,
Our state agencies are busy getting input for writing policy recommendations. Below is a notice I just received from the Department of Ecology regarding the state’s Climate Commitment Act.
Because this legislation will result in a rather massive transfer of wealth, I felt it was important to inform you of the opportunity to learn about it and make comments to the agency.
Here is the information from the agency:
- What: The state Department of Ecology is holding a stakeholder meeting for the development of Washington's cap and investment program under Chapter 173-446 WAC.
- When: Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022 from 1 to 5:30 p.m.
More from Ecology:
Thank you for your interest in the Department of Ecology’s
Climate Commitment Act rulemaking. Ecology is hosting a stakeholder meeting on January 11, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., for the development of Washington’s cap and invest program under Chapter 173-446 WAC. This is the third stakeholder meeting as part of the development process of rulemaking; we hope to propose a rule in Spring 2022.
We value your time and understand that a meeting of this length can provide scheduling difficulties. Ecology will record the presentation portion of the meeting for those unable to attend. We are also available to discuss any questions you may have regarding this rulemaking. Please contact Cooper Garbe at
[email protected] or 360-485-7216.
