Hello neighbors,
Orville Road East between Kapowsin Highway and state Route 161 remains closed to through traffic due to a large mudslide blocking the road.
The mudslide is located near the south end of Ohop Lake about a mile and a half north of state Route 161. The road is closed to all traffic at that location.
The Pierce County Planning and Public Works Department expects to reopen the road by April 15. This date could change if severe weather or additional slide activity occurs. Thank you for your patience.
