Members needed from Council District 3
In 2021 the Pierce County Council created a new commission in Pierce County: The Commission on Refugee and Immigrant Affairs.
The county is now standing up this commission and is looking for board members to help shape its launch and create its path forward. Specifically, the commission needs representation from District 3.
Members will advise on matters of importance to the refugee and immigrant communities, such as employment, economic development, public health, civic engagement, language access, and more.
Applicants from each of the seven Pierce County Council Districts will comprise the committee, including two at large positions. Youth and young adults under 25 are encouraged to get involved! If you have qualifying experience and a passion for this work, please consider applying.
