This week Council unanimously passed a resolution proclaiming April 26, 2022 as “Help a Horse Day” in Pierce County and encouraged residents to participate in this weekend’s event out at Frontier Park.
As many of you know, I am a lover of horses and I am excited for our community to come together Saturday, April 30, at Frontier Park in Graham to learn more about these majestic animals.
Pierce County’s 4-H Leader’s will be hosting a FunRaiser Show at the park all day. There will be horse-focused seminars held between 12 and 2 p.m. where animal enthusiasts, veterinarians and the Pierce County 4-H Youth Horse Program will educate about proper equine care. These seminars are free to attend.

I encourage you to join me in recognizing and supporting the honorable work and efforts of our local 4-H groups, equine centers, rescue organizations, veterinarians, animal control officers and all who work with and care for these magnificent animals.
I hope to see you there!
