Horse arena to remain closed while footing evaluated

The county was made aware of concerns with the new arena footing at Frontier Park. 

Out of an abundance of caution Pierce County's Parks and Recreation Department closed the arena Friday. It will remain closed until further notice while the horse arena is evaluated and a solution is identified.

 A prospective opening date is yet to be determined.
