Dear Friends,
Summer is here and as things get busy with vacations or outdoor adventures, I want to make sure you mark your calendars for The Rainier Music Festival happening this year on Saturday, Aug. 6.
The Rainier Music Festival is held at the Ashford County Park amphitheater and visitors can expect a relaxed festival atmosphere that is family and dog friendly. The event runs from 12 to 9:30 p.m.
Along with live music there will be food trucks, vendors selling goods and refreshments and a beer garden for those 21 and up. Parking is free and visitors are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets to enjoy the day filled with music from seven bands performing a mix of soul, blues, reggae and zydeco. Curley Taylor and his band Zydeco Trouble are headlining the event.
Tickets are on sale now and cost $40 per person. Learn more about the event, including places to stay if you want to make a weekend out of it, at the Visit Rainier website.
Grateful for you!
