Dear Friends,
Expand your weekends and go south. Fun things to do are happening this August!
August 5th – 7th, Eatonville Arts and Music Festival: exchange the hustle of the city and head south to Eatonville for something different. The Eatonville Lions Club is hosting their annual festival to support local artists and musicians while raising funds to give back to the community in the form of scholarships to graduating seniors, support for the Eatonville Family Agency, and other worthy causes. Experience family-friendly, small town values while gaining access to the work of over 60 artists and crafts people with activities for the kids, too. Check out their hot food fixings from their on-site kitchen, in particular their renowned pot roast beef sandwiches, and of course beverages will be available! If you can help out, they are in need of volunteers. Expect this to be their biggest festival in at least 10 years! Check it out: https://www.facebook.com/eatonvilleartsfestival,

August 27th: New summer festival coming to Spanaway Park. Spana’Jam Music, Food, and Classic Car Show presented by Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is happening Saturday, Aug. 27, at Spanaway Regional Park. This free community event kicks off with the 19th annual CARSTAR Hi-Tech Collision Classic Car & Truck Show, where car and truck enthusiasts can stroll through aisles of vintage vehicles, meet the owners, vote for their favorite vehicle, and visit vendors. Attendees will have their fill of food options to choose from in the Food Truck Alley while listening to live Sounds of Summer performances by local bands. The event runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit the Spana’Jam website.
August 27th & 28th, Lacamas Community Fair: Celebrating 85 years! More family fun away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Games, animals, arts and food. Don’t miss this opportunity to make some great memories! Head to 32113 8th Ave S., Roy, WA.
All Summer: Why not take a long weekend vacation and double up on activities? Check out the places to see and things to do on the Visit Rainier site. Choose to reboot your creative energies and nourish your soul with an overnight stay in God’s country. A day at the mountain and a day in Eatonville could be just what the family needs to de-stress from the chaos of social media.
Grateful for you!
