Dear Friends,
Many of you may be familiar with the Charter Review Commission. They are a group of 21 citizens, elected to review the Pierce County Charter. The Charter is like Pierce County’s constitution. It lays out how we are organized and how we operate as a government. The Commission may forward recommended changes to the Charter to be placed on the November ballot.
Next Wednesday, March 30th, the Commission is having an in-district meeting at the Graham Fire & Rescue, Station 94, 23014 70th Ave E in Graham (just south of 224th & 70th). It will start at 6:30 and end by 9:00 pm. There is a citizen’s open forum shortly after the flag salute to anyone who wants to make comments or give input for changes in the Charter.
This is a great opportunity for a lesson in civics for students. They would love to have you attend!
