Celebrate Pierce County businesses at the Pierce County Business Accelerator SHOWCASE! Get to know some of the most exciting and diverse businesses on the rise in Pierce County. Over 100 graduates of the Pierce County Business Accelerator program will be in attendance as exhibitors, caterers, and guests. 
 
This event will be an evening of celebration and showcase in the spirit of the creativity, bravery, and diversity of the many local entrepreneurs who have graduated from the Pierce County Business Accelerator program. Bring your coworkers, friends, and family for what is sure to be an unforgettable showcase celebration.

The Pierce County Business Accelerator (PCBA) is a program of Pierce County Economic Development funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and administered by the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce. The City of Lakewood is a municipal partner. The PCBA is managed in partnership with the Asia Pacific Cultural Center, The Black Collective, Mi Centro, Tacoma Urban League and Korean Women’s Association. To learn more about the PCBA visit PCBA.biz. 


Pierce County Small Business Innovation Matching Grant Program

Applications Due Friday, November 4 at 5:00 pm 


The Pierce County Small Business Innovation Matching Grant program helps small businesses located in UNINCORPORATED* Pierce County move forward in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.


*The term "unincorporated" refers to any areas that do not fall within the limits of a city in Pierce County. 

The grant will aid in covering costs related to innovative projects that will help businesses in unincorporated Pierce County grow and ultimately become more resilient. Eligible businesses should demonstrate a need for funding that will allow the business to implement new ideas, improve operations and processes, or upgrade facilities and equipment. Subject to available funds, the grant reimburses 50% of eligible costs up to $20,000 of reimbursement per applicant.

Businesses who have submitted an application for Round One are NOT eligible to re-apply.

Small Business Flex Fund

Small Business Flex Fund Loan Program

Small businesses and nonprofits can apply for a low-interest loan of up to $150,000 to finance expansion and growth as well as recover from the pandemic and subsequent economic slowdown through the Washington State Department of Commerce Small Business Flex Fund. Interested applicants pre-apply on the Flex Fund’s online portal and, if they qualify, will be matched with a lender. 


NextCycle Washington Renew Seed Grant
NextCycle Washington Renew Seed Grant Program: Applications Due November 16

The Renew Seed Grant program is designed to provide funding and technical assistance for early-stage projects focused on material waste prevention, reuse, repair, recovery, recycling, and composting that will help grow Washington State’s circular economy. Click here for more information and to apply.

Pierce County C-PACER Program

Pierce County Now Accepting Applications for Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy + Resiliency Program (C-PACER) 

The C-PACER program allows owners and developers of eligible properties in Pierce County to obtain long-term financing, at a low interest rate, for qualifying energy generation, efficiency, water conservation or resiliency projects.
