Working for you
Dear Friends & Neighbors,
Summer is just around the corner and I’m ready for some lasting sunshine!
Plants are sprouting and the fields are dotted with the new spring calves. We
live in such a beautiful district. This is my fourth year as your representative in
the Council and I continue to be humbled and grateful to serve.
This current and past year has kept me occupied knocking on the doors of
businesses and homes to hear firsthand the effects of crime in the district. I
took a boat ride on the Puyallup River with a biologist from the Puyallup Tribe
to view the activities along the riverbanks and personally interviewed many
who make their homes on private and County properties. We can be thankful
we don’t have a jungle like Seattle, but we are certainly burdened with more
property crimes in areas with transient drug-users.
Seventy people attended our Meet and Greet in February. What I heard is that
you’re tired of the derelict homes, the transients, the drugs and the trash.
Those stories don’t make the 6 p.m. news, but they’re on my radar and I’m
working to clean things up.
For this and more County news please spend a few moments reading this newsletter http://www.co.pierce.wa.us/DocumentCenter/View/40870 .
Wishing you all a prosperous 2016!
