The other event is about Veterans Day and honoring our veterans. Veterans Day is a remembrance of all U.S. military veterans – past and present. It is celebrated every November 11th and has been a federal holiday since 1926. Visit Veterans Day Events & Observances - 2022 | WDVA (wa.gov) for local events.

An additional and extra special event will be Monday, November 14, at the Orting Soldier’s Cemetery. There will be an unveiling of 4 granite monuments to memorialize four medal of honor recipients who rest there. Speaking will be  MSG Earl Plumlee, a medal of honor recipient himself.

The event begins at 2:30 and is expected to last approximately 1-1½ hours. A shuttle will run from the Abundant Life Four Square Church, 1005 Orting-Kapowsin Hwy E., parking lot (see map below) from 1 pm to 2:20 pm to the cemetery and return attendees after the ceremony. I hope to see you there!
