It’s December. Let the Christmas season begin! If you haven’t made plans yet for Saturday evening, December 3rd, think about going to Eatonville for their annual Christmas parade. Expertly organized by the new Eatonville Business Association, you’ll want to get to town early and set up your chairs along the parade route. Festivities begin at 4:30 with vendors, photos with Santa, and activities at the Visitor Center, 320 Center St. E. The parade begins at 6:00 pm. It starts on Center St at Orchard and then turns onto Mashell Ave, ending at the High School. If you don’t have a tradition yet, you could start one with this event. The weather looks to be promisingly cooperative.

The Lacamas Community Center, 32113 8th Ave S. in Roy, is holding their annual Christmas Bazaar December 3^rd and 4^th from 10 am – 4 pm both days. They’ll have two buildings full of craft items for sale and free crafts for the kids.
 

Of course, everyone always enjoys Fantasy Lights at Spanaway Park. Enjoy the two-mile drive of the largest holiday drive-through display in the Northwest, featuring nearly 300 elaborate displays to delight the eyes and create smiles. It took the Park’s Department hours and hours to set this up for your enjoyment. This, too, would make for a memorable family tradition. Check here for tickets and general information.
 
One more item you may want to put on your 2023 calendar is the planned public outreach meeting for the Pierce County Village in Spanaway. It is scheduled for 7 pm on January 3 at Sprinker. For up-to-date information, check out the County’s website.
 
There isn’t much new information on the airport saga, but I found on their website, about half way down the page, three scheduled public zooms under Upcoming Events. They seemed to be designed as some kind of on-line meet and greet. I can only attend the one on the 14th.  If you attend an earlier one, please let me know what you learned.
