From the desk of Councilmember Amy Cruver:
As part of a County-wide tourism strategic plan, Pierce County Economic Development, the Pierce County Tourism Promotion Area Commission, and the Pierce County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee are embarking on an important assessment of how Pierce County scores as a tourist destination.
The assessment takes the form of a 360-degree survey of key stakeholders in tourism, business, education, and government who would all find themselves impacted by Pierce County’s ability to attract and inspire visitors to our County. The results of the survey will essentially be a report card for the health and benchmarking of Pierce County as a destination.
Your participation is important. Questions are simple and represent a broad set of topics addressing various elements of Pierce County, specifically those that are relevant to and may impact visitors’ experiences. The survey should take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. If you require more time to complete the survey, you can also save it and return to it at a later date.
To access the survey, please visit: DestinationNEXT-2-0-Pierce-County-WA. The survey will be available for your participation until May 12, 2023. If you cannot complete the survey in one sitting, an email reminder with an individual link to your partially completed survey will be sent out every Monday until the closing date.
Your responses are anonymous. Please answer the survey as you see Pierce County today. Our hope is the findings of this survey will spark a productive conversation about Pierce County as a destination and form the basis for a destination-wide tourism strategy that will help guide Pierce County into the future and generate needed revenues.
Grateful for you!
