Dear Friends and Neighbors,

As we close out another dynamic year in Pierce County, I want to take a moment to reflect on our blessings. We live in a country built on the importance of each individual, where every life matters and where we have the freedom to share in our beliefs. I want to say thank you to everyone for sharing words of encouragement and life stories throughout the year. 

In the final days of 2016, I hope you all will find the time, between the shopping and the traffic, to reflect on the important and precious things in life. Remember our service members who are far away from home on a mission to keep us safe. Remember their families who wait patiently for their return. 

There are many ways to share the joys of Christmas with people we know and don’t know. May your holiday be filled with the warmth and love we are meant to share.
