4. How long is a Building Permit good for?: A building permit will expire 180 days from date of issue. You can request an extension by contacting the Building Division at (253) 798-3152.

5. Is my permit ready to pick up?: You can check on the status of your application on the online permits website.

6. How do I view or print an application or permit?: 1. Go to the PALS Online Website. 2. Use the search criteria to search for an existing application or permit. 3. Use the "Printer Friendly" button to print any of the first seven tabs for the application/permit. 4. Go to the "Document" tab to print the application/permit or any other related documents. Click on the link for the desired document and use the Adobe toolbar to print the document.

7. Where can I get a copy of the Building Codes?

The building codes are adopted by reference and made a part of Title 18C of the County Code. An online version of the codes can be found here:
