Starting in 2024, ferry fares, set forth in PCC 10.38.010, include a $1 per ticket surcharge for capital replacement purposes. All proceeds from the capital replacement surcharge shall be deposited in a separate account and shall be utilized solely for ferry capital replacement purposes.
Fares for Youth passengers (ages 18 and under) will be free under the Ferry Youth Fare Reimbursement Program. The County will be reimbursed through the Washington State 2023-2025 Transportation Budget. This youth passenger tickets will remain free as long as the state continues to subsidize the program.
Riders in this fare class are still required to obtain a ticket via the City Experiences App, website, or in person at the Steilacoom Terminal to board the ferry. Riders may need to provide proof of age by presenting a valid photo ID. Youth drivers will still need to purchase a vehicle ticket as normal.

In Ordinance No. 2023-58s, the motorcycle Value Pass currently lists a non-peak and peak fares in 2024. This was due to a calculation error for the 2024 and 2025 fares. This issue, in addition to some vehicle fares, will be corrected through a new ordinance in early 2024.
